Most people don't know that Holland is Not the Netherlands ! Holland is a part of the Netherlands, it is actually (only) the two provinces in the mid-west of it. This map shows you the geographical situation. The Netherlands (green plus red) have twelf provinces of which two (red) are the provinces Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland.
Per 01-01-2023 there were 17.811.291 inhabitants in the Netherlands of which 6.757.528 in Holland and 11.053.763 in the rest of the Netherlands.
